Dear Students, Families, Faculty, Supporters, and Friends,
Thank you for helping Project STEP complete an amazing 39th season! We recently wrapped up a successful end of year Spring Recital & Parent Benefit featuring and celebrating all 57 of our students—from our very youngest, all the way up to our most experienced.
While last year was a year of transition, this year has been one of boldness, resiliency, and risk taking for our students. This has also been a year full of loss, success, struggle, and ultimately, of perseverance. I applaud all of you for putting in the time, energy, and hard work. And special congratulations to our 2 graduating seniors who will be heading to college in the fall— Dalilah to New York University and Christian to Furman University!
As we approach four decades of bringing racial equity to the world of classical music, I wanted to celebrate some of our favorite highlights from this year, including:
Performance workshops with:
Mentoring opportunities with:
Older Project STEP students working with younger STEP students
Enrichment workshops on:
Injury Prevention/Body Mapping for Musicians

We wish you a relaxing summer and hope you and your loved ones remain healthy and safe.
With deep gratitude,
