Longy School of Music of Bard College presents: Young Artist Chamber Music Intensive, directed by Longy Artist Diploma student Tyler James.

Longy welcomes all to the Young Artist Chamber Music Intensive Final Concert, featuring young artists from Project Step, the Boston String Academy, and the Longy Side-by-Side program. These young artists will be performing, alongside artist faculty, works by Brahms, Sibelius, Mozart, and a world premiere by Boston Composer Joi Harper.

The Young Artist Chamber Music Intensive brings the best, aspiring young artists in the Boston area together at the Longy School of Music of Bard College—one of the most forward thinking music schools in the country. Designed like Marlboro Music Festival, participants will rehearse and perform alongside professional chamber musicians on full scholarship. Each student will receive a masterclass from a world-class artist and will rehearse, perform, and produce a professional-grade recording in Boston Celebrity Series’ Pickman Hall. This Intensive is dedicated in memory of Kristin Mortimer, and is generously funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and Klarman Family Foundation.

While this event is open to the public, you must pre-register in order to gain access in person. No walk-ups will be allowed at Longy for performances.
